We love taco amigo for their fries, fresh tacos and amazing ice cream!!
This has been my favorite place since I was a kid. Nothing beats it. I dont think theres a single item on the menu I wouldn't suggest but my usual go to is the number 3 combo. Atmosphere is always chill, staff is very friendly and the food is always fresh.
Bought a Oreo mint shake. Regular size. Didn’t have a single oreo’s worth of cookie in the whole thing. Do t go here- not worth it.
This place is so delicious. My favorites are the cheese melt and the regular hamburger. Their fry sauce is amazing, and much better than other fry sauces. The people working here are pretty friendly. Their American food is better than their Mexican food. The fries are excellent. The large fries are huge! Oh, I mentioned the cheese melt or cheese burrito. It's so delicious, especially dipped in their fry sauce. They call their fry sauce "pink sauce."
Dry beef. Nothing exciting at all about this taco. Dry beef, iceberg lettuce, shredded cheese. Taco Bell is better than this food. They also serve hamburgers and french fries... that should've been my clue as to how good this place would be.
The staff were pleasant, even during a very busy lunch rush. They were efficient, but the quality of food wasn't sacrificed to be efficient. Overall: friendly staff, efficient, good food.
This place is pretty overpriced for what they have to offer. The only meat option they have is ground beef. We ordered the enchilada and the supreme nachos. The enchilada was $4.99 and was extremely small... the nachos were good, but not worth over $6. The only redeeming thing was the fresh peach shake I got. But even that was over $5 for a small. Not sure if we just ordered the wrong things or just had high expectations for what we ordered/ paid for. If you are going for an equal balance of quantity for price you will only be disappointed here.
The best taco's ever!!
The peach shake is runny but good. Fries were hot and yummy. The burger is good but could get it anywhere. A bit pricey for what you get.
The strawberry shake was amazing. The taco and enchilada was not great. Food was generally overpriced for the amount/portion. I paid about 30 dollars for my family of 4, and I could have paid half that for more at a place like taco time or del taco.
Taco Amigo is a local treasure! Their food is very tasty especially their fresh seasonal fruit milkshakes. They are about $5 for a small but worth every penny. I highly recommend the peach one in late August! 😳👌🏻
Still love their shakes and fries and everything
Our cashier who took our order was so friendly & professional! So helpful & gave recommendations that were really good. Jasmine is her name, I think. The place is so clean. We definitely will be returning again soon. Thank you for a great experience.
Just love the fresh shakes here.
It's cheap but not the greatest food
I'm not originally from Utah County but I've lived here since 1991 I can't see what keeps this place in business. It must just be me the place is packed daily! If you want Mexican food that is basically hamburger with some of the weakest, laziest sauces you will ever taste , this is the place for you. In my opinion the only edible thing on the menu is the nachos. But then again you have to really try to screw up Nacho's! They do try, but like everything else they barely try so the nachos are not horrible!!
The place was clean and the service was good, though the food leaves a lot to be desired. If I didn't put on a ton of hot sauce, I wouldn't have been able to taste anything.I had a burrito and a tostada, which was a bit better than the bean burrito because of the crunchy shell... some contrasting textures if the flavors were weak. The burrito was pretty tame texture wise, and didn't taste like a whole lot.Hopefully they don't use canned refried beans, because that's what this tasted like. That being said, in addition to a star for service, was pleased with the strawberry shake.
The customer service is the only redeeming quality of Taco Amigo. The food was less than okay and the portion sizes were really small. It’s a good place to go if you just need something small and simple.
I didn't previously put 'milk shake' and 'tacos' together, but these are definitely among the best shakes in the valley. Tacos and burgers are ok, but don't leave without a fresh strawberry shake (when in season)
This is a family favorite. I have been eating at taco amigo in the mid 80's. With my parents and brothers. And now I eat there with my own kids. And let me tell you. Throughout all the years. Never ever have I had a bad experience. The food is always made when you order it so it's as fresh as possible. They also have the best fries & fry sauce.
This place has totally amazing food! The angel burger is basically the Big Mac but a heck of a lot better. There cookie doe shake was awesome! And they have great customer service(mainly the girl who took my order, she was so nice!) all in all, and amazing place to eat
Shakes are otherworldly! Top 3 in my list.
Everyone knows that their real fruit shakes are amazing. If you are near stop by for a fresh strawberry shake. You will not be disappointed!
Nothing worse than a restaurant that doesnt follow what their website. If your website says 10:30pm, you should not close before 10pm. What a bummer! I'd understand if we were in the first month of quarantine, but today is May 18th... No excuses! #frustrating
Fresh ground beef. No chemical flavors. Best taco in town
I went to Taco Amigo on Thursday night and the girl that helped me was AMAZING! ( I think her name was Hayley) She greeted me outside with the biggest smile and took my order even though it was raining and cold. She had a bad job and did it with the best attitude.
Are you kidding? The best fries in state gotta dip em in the nacho cheese tho. ( I just started a trend ) price a hair high but welli woeth it forsure.
Literally has the best fries in Orem (I often just go to get fries with friends), and the newly remodeled restaurant is great and a lot more clean and inviting. Would highly recommend.
Best food ever!
This is both the taco fast food Utah needs, and deserves. With great Tacos, comes great responsibility. Burritos SMAAAAAAASH!!! This really is a great place. I dont know what they do differently exactly but they are in a whole other justice league if you pick up what I'm putting down(Mjolnir). So now that I have thuroughly upset the DC vs Marvel crowd, go get some delicious food from Taco Amigo. It'll calm you down big guy, and their icey deserts are the quenchiest!
The fries are fantastic.... just waiting for the fresh strawberry and peach shakes.
It was fine. I was told by a local not to get the mexican food here. Burger was fine. Service was fast.
If you come during Peach season you Have to get a fresh peach shake. They are amazing. Honestly never gotten food here, I've only had their shakes and every single one I've tried has been great.
My father has been going here since he was a kid. There is a lot of nostalgia and the food is good as well.
Besr carmel milkshake in the world. Literally better than actual ice cream shops.
Oddly enough, I don’t love the Mexican food here (my family does though). I really like their Big Amigo burger and their fries. If you get a Big Amigo, have them put a tomato on it. Also, if you get fries, have them cook them extra crispy—yum.
It's alright. The food is decent by all means. Needs to be a bit cleaner though.
The best thing on the menu is the fries. Shakes are second. The rest is mild flavored and fresh not-quite-Mexican food. Great for kids. Filling for grownups. The newly renovated building is nice.
So good! Can't go wrong with a bean & cheese with their hot sauce. Always get fries with fry sauce and warning the large is fantastically huge! The cherry glacier is one of my favorite desserts. I've been eating at the T'nA for 32 years and still crave it!
I love the service. The staff is always helpful. Our family loves the strawberryshakes and the taco's. We go there all the time.
The place looks gorgeous and has pretty helpful staff, but I expected at more out of their food. They’re a little more pricy, but they’re serving you food that would be off of a value menu at other fast food restaurants. I got the most expensive item on their Latin menu, and it was as bland as I’ll get out. Definitely not worth the money, and the portion was small. My wife enjoyed her nachos, but they’re very basic and not worth what I paid for them. If I want cheap Mexican food, I’d much rather go to any other texmex restaurant and get either the same quality for much less or much better tasting food.
Food was ehh. Basically everything tastes like it comes from a can. But this would be good drunk food.
My favorite local burger and fry place. Yes, they serve Mexican food but everyone loves the fry sauce and fries. Always sparkling clean. Love, love, love this place. Would give them 10 stars if possible.
This is a recent discovery for me and if you haven't come here you are doing yourself a disservice, there food is pretty good but really you have to come for their fresh fruit shakes!! They are honestly some of the best shakes I've had in my life.
Bean burritos and cheeseburgers are the best there. I gladly drive thirty minutes just for Taco Amigo.
Taco Amigo has long been a family favorite. If you're from Pleasant Grove, you know TA. Great family atmosphere with Mexican-American fare. Make sure to order the enormous large fry, they're the best! Finish things up with an ice cream treat and you'll wonder why you haven't been before.
Good food and the prices are reasonable
Taco Amigo is awesome. It’s definitely on the upper tier of fast food restaurants. The cheese melts, tostadas, enchiladas are pretty good. This is definitely a better pick as opposed to Del taco or other places like that. It’s a fun hangout spot for young people. The strawberry cheesecake shakes are incredible as well.
By far the worst Mexican food I've had in Utah. The food portions were tiny compared to their massive prices, and it tasted like they poured water all over their food. The chips were soggy when I got the food, the chicken was soggy, and the tomato sauce was NOTHING like enchilada sauce or even tomatoes. Total rip off and wish I hadn't wasted my money there. However, it was clean and we'll out together. I'm not afraid of running to the toilet soon after like many budget Mexican places make me feel.
Gem of a place. Top-notch budget tacos. Sad I’m just discovering it now.
